Jay Dileo M.D.

Dr. “Jay” DiLeo has practiced over 30 years as a board-certified OBGYN in the New Orleans area and in academics at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He served as the Director of Pelvic Pain in the USF Department of OBGYN. He is a women’s health author (”The Anxious Parent’s Guide to Pregnancy”) and currently writes, full-time, medical articles for medical professionals, EMS first responders, laypersons, and educators. He originated the website GYNOB.COM and was the obstetrical advisor for BabyZone (now Disney’s Babble.com). He is an inventor (Catheter Stethoscope), lecturer, and advocate for women’s health. He and his wife are foster and adoptive parents in addition to their four children.

Susana Trujillo N.D., M.S.

Dr. Susana Trujillo M.Sc., N.D. is an engineer and a naturopathic doctor with a passion for formulating alternative and healthy natural products for US consumers. She provides science-based natural alternatives. She has formulated internationally-recognized dietary supplements and she is the author of three books translated into over five languages. Her twelve years of experience in the nutrition and functional medicine fields led her to develop “whole wellness” formulations to support the quality of life (QoL) for people. Dr. Susana Trujillo currently holds an N.D., two M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and Herbalism and two B.Sc. in Chemistry and Biochemistry. Her passion is to continue developing “whole wellness” alternatives for better health and to provide nutritional advice to people who need it.

Deniece Alvarado, Aesthetician

Originally from Connecticut, Deniece is a bilingual double board-certified Medical Aesthetician based out of Nashville TN, and who studied at Florida Medical College and Empire Beauty in Brentwood, TN.

Having an extensive background in skin care as well as cosmetic artistry and sales, she has been fortunate and able to study and work alongside with a plethora of cosmetic injectors, nurse practitioners, and fellow Aestheticians and learn from all of them.

Fun fact about Deniece is that she studied Musical Theater at the Hartt School of Music and worked as a real Walt Disney World Princess, singing in one of the most popular shows inside the Animal Kingdom. Her experience on stage as well as speaking in front of the camera, makes Deniece a very well rounded and knowledgeable educator speaking on behalf of Makana regarding all the products useful and beneficial for hair, skin, nails and overall health of the body.

Deniece is always ready to help others understand skin care in the overwhelming skin health industry. She is relatable and genuine and makes the whole process a bit more fun and easy to understand!
